History

Established in 1986

New Life Tanning Centers are Columbus’ premiere tanning and sunless salons. New Life was established in 1986 as a Fitness Center. A few years later, we decided tanning was the way to go and installed the first tanning beds in the city. New Life has grown significantly, and 26 years later, we now have a variety of luxury UV tanning equipment, sunless tanning booths, custom airbrush services, infrared body wraps, LED teeth whitening, anti-aging treatments, and two locations to serve you better than ever.

Community Involvement

New Life is actively involved in the Columbus community. We support the Children’s Miracle Network, local chapter of the American Red Cross, Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home, Columbus State University, Columbus GA Young Professionals, United Way, and many other public and private organizations through donations and volunteer work each year.

Since the beginning, we have been affiliated with the Miss Georgia Pageant Commission, tanning the contestants before the pageant, and providing service to the winner year-round to prepare her for the Miss America Pageant.

New Life’s success can be contributed to two equally important philosophies:

Cleanliness – Not just sanitizing tanning beds, but insuring the entire facility is spotless, even vacuuming after each customer’s tanning session.
Customer Service – Not only will you see a friendly face behind the counter, but you will find a well-educated, professional associate that will gladly assist you in finding the correct lotion for your skin-type, show you how to use the tanning equipment, and help you determine which membership is most suited to YOUR needs, to achieve your tanning goals. Every staff member is trained using nationally recognized tanning training programs from organizations such as SmartTan Inc, National Tanning Training Institute (NTTI), and the SunTanning Association for Education (SAE).
