Unlike the sun’s rays, the SUN ANGEL emits a custom UV spectrum. Intelligently blending UV-A and UV-B makes better use of the UV rays to give you that perfect tan, while virtually eliminating the possibility of overexposure.

Three factors play a crucial role in the tanning performance that the SUN ANGEL offers with its variable UV spectrum. Existing skin pigment tans more rapidly and the tanning effect happens sooner that it does on conventional sunbeds. In addition, the SUN ANGEL generates new pigment more rapidly. The twenty-minute tanning session is optimized for maximum pigmentation.

The skins own light resistance increases with each session and the UV dosage can be gradually increased for an attractive, long-lasting tan. Apart from a sumptuous tan, the SUN ANGEL activates Vitamin D3 synthesis, which the human body also produces when exposed to natural sunlight.

The extra wide Multi Relax base acrylic with its integrated headrest, relaxing armrests and variable footrests as well as a spacious tunnel allows clients of all sizes to find a completely comfortable position with plenty of room for movement.

Just like in luxury cars, you can set your ideal temperature, which is kept constant throughout the tanning session by a climate control system. Using the Temptronic function, the temperature can be adjusted in two-degree increments ranging from 64 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. The Aqua Mist & Aroma feature ensures an extremely refreshing experience by dispensing a super-fine mist in selectable intervals over the face and body.

For audiophiles, the 3D-Sound system with integrates subwoofer creates a concert hall feeling while the MP3 dock-in and SD card provide a completely personal listening experience. THE GOLDEN RULES FOR TANNING ON THE SUN ANGEL

• You can relax and enjoy your session on the SUN ANGEL. However, the same rule applies as with tanning outdoors - don't overdo it! In other words, never sunbathe more than once a day. As a rule of thumb you need to sunbathe up to a maximum of 10 times over a period of two to three weeks to get a tan. After this, the tan will be retained if you use a tanning bed once or twice a week.
• Check your skin type before you use the SUN ANGEL. Qualified salon staff should be able to assist you with this. You should not use the SUN ANGEL or sunbathe outdoors if you have fair, non-pigmented skin type 1. If you have sensitive skin, freckles, unusual or many moles, you should consult with your physician before tanning.
• Undress before you take measurements with the SUN ANGEL sensor
• Take off any jewelry you might be wearing.
• Remove all cosmetics from your skin.
• All of the measuring points on your body must not have lotion on them. This even applies to lotions designed for use with tanning beds. Lotions may invalidate the measurement.
• Do not use any sunscreen lotions during tanning, as these can detract from the tanning effect.
• Select an area with light or no hair growth for measuring.
• Do not take any measurement twice and do not switch measurements.
• If you do not measure your individual UV sensitivity using the SUN ANGEL sensor, the sunbed will start in a low-dose mode with a minimum of UV light.
• If you are tanning for the first time, we recommend using only the minimum dose of UV light. Therefore, please leave the sensor in its holder.
• If you are taking medication or suffer from a skin disorder, please be aware that certain medicines may be photosensitive. That is, they may cause an adverse reaction when the body is exposed to UV light. A list, which identifies many photosensitive medications, foods, and ingredients, should be on display in your salon. Always consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns.
• Keep your eyes closed while tanning and always wear protective goggles that block out UV light. Contact lenses should be removed prior to tanning.
• Proper salon hygiene is of paramount importance to your health. The acrylic area must be cleaned with a special disinfectant before each tanning session.
• If you are unsure how to use the SUN ANGEL, consult with the salon staff, who will advise you on proper procedures.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the sensor categorize the skin into skin types after measurement?
No. The sensor works to a far greater degree of accuracy by measuring the individual sensitivity of the skin. Theoretically, the sensor can measure an infinite number of skin types to calculate an individual UV dose.

What happens if I take the sensor out of its holder during a tanning session?
Nothing. The sensor is turned off during a tanning session.

Can the sensor detect a sunburn?
Yes and no. The sensor detects redness on the skin and calculates a lower dose. The sensor will recognize the redness, which may or may not be recognizable to the naked eye.

How do I benefit from the SUN ANGEL UV system?
Virtually eliminating the possibility of overexposure: The skin's current sensitivity to UV light is measured before each session and the UV power emitted is individually adjusted accordingly.

• Perfect tanning result: Intelligently blending UV-A and UV-B makes better use of the UV rays to give you a perfect-looking tan.
• Separate output levels for the face and body, as UV sensitivity is usually different between the face and body.
• Additional skin analysis using classic features such as eye and hair color is unnecessary.

Does this eliminate consultation in a salon?
No. The following points need to be mentioned:

Can the facial tanner power be increased manually during a tanning session?
No. However, you can reduce the power manually using the facial tanner button or turn off the facial tanners completely. The tanners can be turned on or powered up within the limits of the original power level calculated.

Does the power emitted by the facial tanners sometimes decrease automatically during a tanning session?
Yes. The facial tanners start at the highest level calculated for the face in the first measurement; the power may decrease during the tanning session. The Voice Guide will inform you of any adjustment in power before it happens.

Do individual UV lamps sometimes turn off automatically during a tanning session?
Yes. Depending on the skin measurement, the UV-B or TYPE B low-pressure lamps may be turned off in the face or body area, or dimmed in the face area. This virtually eliminates the possibility of overexposure.

Do tan stripes form on the body when some of these UV lamps turn off?
No. The lamp geometry and gap between lamps and body have been designed in such a way as to eliminate stripes forming.

Does the SUN ANGEL also have an internal lamp control chip card?
Yes. We have implemented the benefits of performance regulation using dimmable electronic ballasts using two integrated lamp set chip cards for types A and B (adjusting UV output for aging lamps).

How is the low-pressure lamp tanning power controlled?
With electronic ballasts that vary power between 80W and 200W.

Why is the tanning period preset to 20 minutes in automatic mode?
This is the time that the SUN ANGEL needs to provide an ideal tan.

Can I change the preset 20-minute tanning period in automatic mode?
Yes. You can change the time in preset mode to any time less than 20 minutes. However, the 20-minute exposure schedule is ideal.

Does the SUN ANGEL sometimes automatically turn off before the tanning session is over?
No. The SUN ANGEL knows just how much UV light is necessary for a perfect-looking tan and adjusts the UV dosage accordingly.
